Even the Wall Street Journal is wondering whether Djokovich's recent Wimbledon win could be down to his new regime.
"How did Novak Djokovic conquer the tennis world? Maybe the answer is as simple as this: Since last year, he's swearing off pasta, pizza, beer, French bread, cornflakes, pretzels, empanadas, Mallomars and Twizzlers—anything with gluten."
Love Pure Cakes offers gluten-free cakes for one very clear reason: Gluten clogs up the system.
You might not need to reduce your gluten intake for clinical reasons but you will certainly feel better about ravishing a scrumptiously healthy cake than one that clogs your arteries and gut.

Big Question of the Week
What's your view on gluten-free? Is it just a fad? Is it all in the mind? Apart from those with diagnosed illnesses like Coeliacs, is it for health fanatics? Have you ever cut out gluten and observed changes in your body? Do you know anyone who has?
Do let me know, I'm dying to hear your views.
Cake love, Lorna

Great stuff, Lorna... Could you take a moment to explain just what GLUTEN is?? What does it taste like? How do we know if we have an adverse reaction to it?? Thanks xx
ReplyDeleteGreat questions, Fee. Thank you so much. I totally overlooked that one. Thanks for raising it.
ReplyDeleteGluten is literally the Latin word for "glue" ... Yes, really.
I'll post up a longer answer on the blog shortly, but meanwhile the short one is ...
